OUR MISSION

The Los Angeles Consensual Dispute Resolution Family Law Association (LACFLA) is an open, interdisciplinary organization dedicated to Consensual Dispute Resolution including the Collaborative Process and Mediation for resolving family conflict in a non-adversarial way, by training Professionals and educating families in a more peaceful and cost-efficient process.

LACFLA is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 corporation offering continuous education and support for success with non-adversarial resolutions using a Consensual Dispute Resolution Process. LACFLA guides and supports all forms of Consensual Dispute Resolution in Los Angeles County and coordinates with regional, state and international collaborative practice organizations and other Consensual Dispute Resolution organizations.

  2. Practice Group Discounts/Support for Marketing Divorce Options Programs.
  3. Public Service Programs and Speakers Bureau.
  4. Annual Basic Collaborative Training program for Professionals
  5. Quarterly Advanced Collaborative-Skills Training Programs.
  6. Monthly No-cost, Collaborative-Skills Focused Discussions for Professionals.
  7. Develops Nationwide, Standardized Participation Agreement and Protocols for Collaborative Practice.
  1. Collaborates with Los Angeles Superior Court to develop Rules and Procedures for Collaborative Practice.
  2. Participates to Develop California State Laws shaping Collaborative Practice.
  3. Participates to Develop National, Uniform Model Statute for Collaborative Practice.
  4. Publishes Educational Website about Collaborative Law.
  5. TrainedProfessional Members Participate/Gain Collaborative Experience (Pro Bono) with Loyola Law School’s Center for Conflict Resolution's Collaborative Clinic for those of Modest Means.
